Not a lot of new content to playthrough this week, as I have mostly been preparing some text blocks I want to use in the good ending. I also started working on the first narrative segment towards the good ending, but pretty much just prepared the map for it today.
I didn't make as much progress as I wanted to as I maybe spent a bit too much time on the integration of the new corruption ending H-CGs :'D. Be prepared for the scene to have um a little more effects than usual as I was trying to integrate a sort of "corrupt magical girl transformation sequence" (or at least transformation sequence-likish). Today I also expanded the very first Star Knightess transformation in the intro a little bit to gave it a similar structure and special effects as the one from the corruption scene.
Besides integrating the H-CGs, I also added a couple new lines of text into the h-scene to improve the flow with the images.
I have no screenshot this week that isn't either a big spoiler or NSFW, so I will just post one showcasing super minor detail improvements on the Clockwork Tower elevator. The doors now close!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!! It may not look like it but there is a big amount of overengineering behind this to deal with RPGMaker's issues in cross-map event movement manipulation (e.g. opening the doors when you arrive). I have a different approach that I usually use for this, but I wanted to try out one that is more generic - it didn't exactly save time. :'D But if I ever were to expand the tower to like dozens of levels it would!!!! Hahahaha.....
Besides that, we also have a new Blueprint that you can find in the tower unlocking a new artifact: Drowse Guard. Sick of enemies making you Drowsy in battle?! Craft this artifact to give your whole party protection from this state!
Finally, our assistant developer Trihan integrated libraries to allow for Steam connection and in particular gave Achievement integration a try, but I already spoke about this in the recent post here. By now I have reviewed all the achievements and added some more "default" ones to the list - like simple milestone achievements for completing quests such as Festival of Greed. Let's see if we can get all the achievements on the list into the game!
Oh, right yeah and as you have seen, we have also started the next art commission, which is the Demonic Rose Character Art. After that, we will only need the Final Corruption Scene H-CG and 1.0 is done art-wise! I have spoken with our artist and it seems he would like to pretty much continue working without a major vacation break. Maybe he will change is mind until then, but if not, we would basically immediately start the 2.0 art production. Since I won't be writing any new H-Scenes until 1.0 is done, it would be mostly artwork for existing scenes. Example: Selfie CG with Popular Basketball dudeguybro. I will most likely create a list of scenes I would like to have illustrated and then we can have a poll on it.
Note that since this would be 2.0 content it won't make it's way into the regular releases (including prereleases) until 1.0 is complete. I would probably make them available in the deluxe version, though. Then again, I don't think our artist will be suddenly pumping out that many CGs in the short time-frame till the 1.0 release, so nothing I said in this paragraph might even matter. :'D
